Madison, WI – CenterX, a leading provider of real-time prescription benefit (RTPB) and electronic prior authorization (ePA) solutions, announced its service suite has again earned Certified status for information security by HITRUST. The HITRUST Risk-Based, 2-Year (r2) Validated Assessment (formerly named the HITRUST CSF Validated Assessment) is the gold standard and most widely adopted security framework in the healthcare industry. Certification is often used to demonstrate appropriate security practices to business partners in the healthcare space.
"In order to obtain HITRUST certification, CenterX had to implement and effectively operate over 450 unique controls spread across 19 domain areas. The design of the controls was reviewed through interviews as well as policy and procedure review. The effectiveness of those controls is also tested through sampling and direct evidence review," says Adam Kunsemiller, Senior Director, Security and Compliance for CenterX.
CenterX, which was first HITRUST certified in 2016, has an established security program and dedicated security staff committed to safeguarding customers' data privacy, including a layered security approach. Its solutions have been designed from the ground up to operate securely and are supplemented with ongoing security validation and monitoring efforts. CenterX constantly evolves its security program to address emerging threats and incorporate best practices.
Services of CenterX's cloud-based suite that have been certified by HITRUST include:
